Research activity: Investigation of intercellular crosstalk in malignant tumors and during the wound healing. Our research is focussed predominantly on tumors originated from squamous cell epithelium from (majority cell population such as keratinocytes and minority cells, such as melanocytes). We stress our research activity mainly on the role of cancer-associated fibroblasts including definition of their expression profiles. We collaborate with Department of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery, Department of Dermatovenerology and Department of Biochemistry and Experimental Oncology of the 1st Faculty of Medicine of the Charles University in Prague, Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic vvi. in Prague, and Institut de Sciences et d’Ingenierie Supramoleculaires (ISIS) of the University of Strasbourg.
